BBFS launches First Touch Campaign Powered By Gatorade across 100 schools in NCR

Soccer promotion, talent hunt and player development - all-in-one!

The campaign will identify exceptional talent between 10-15 years of age and provide an opportunity to over 6000 students to learn from some of the best youth coaches in the world. This has only been possible through the unwavering support provided by Gatorade which is the title sponsor of the initiative and through the equipment and support provided by Nike.

BBFS First Touch, Powered by Gatorade : The Campaign Structure

The first phase includes 100 free football workshops under experienced coaches from FBCQ, Portugal. This will be followed by an invitational tournament featuring select school teams and talented individuals. Subsequently, 10 selected students will receive 3-month scholarships to BBFS, where these un-cut diamonds will be polished and nurtured. The best 5 will then be taken to Portugal for a training camp and trials at Portuguese clubs!

 

The Launch

BBFS First Touch, Powered by Gatorade was kicked-off by Shri Vineet Joshi, Chairman CBSE in the presence of Bhaichung Bhutia and Shri Augustine Pinto at a press-launch on 18th August 2011 at Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj. The event was covered by all the major print and TV media and was followed by the first workshop of the campaign at the school.
