FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT BBFS RESIDENTIAL ACADEMY

Q1. WHAT IS THE ADMISSION PROCEDURE?

Step 1: Contact BBFS: Get in touch on 84480-20010 to know about upcoming trial dates.
Step 2: Trials: Players must participate in a trial in any of the cities where it is being conducted, or trial happening in the academy later.
Step 3: Selection: Players selected from the trials will be notified individually and given the selection letter.
Step 4: Academy Visit: Selected players have the option to visit the academy before enrolment.
Step 5: Enrolment: Selected players confirm enrolment by paying the deposit.

Q2. DO PLAYERS RECEIVE ANY INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE WHILE IN THE ACADEMY?

Yes, the residential academy players are given international exposure opportunities once or twice each year through camps and competitions. In the past we have taken teams for Singacup (Singapore), Sesimbra Cup (Portugal), Feyenoord(Netherlands), Limburg Cup (Netherlands) etc.


Q3. HOW DO YOU FOCUS ON PLAYER DEVELOPMENT?

The BBFS RA player development plan consists of scientifically planned curriculums that are delivered by coaches who are licensed. Regular player evaluations are done and focus is given to strength and conditioning with Sports Science analysis and physiotherapy for injury prevention and management. We also at the overall lifestyle planning of the players including regulation of their diet, rest, recovery and sleep time. These elements combined with the match and competition exposure to the best School and Academy level competitions, plus a player development pathway for each age group and ability, makes for a holistic approach to the development of the player.


Q4. WHAT TOURNAMENTS DO PLAYERS IN THE ACADEMY PARTICIPATE IN?

The BBFS players take part in school-level, academy-level as well as open competitions. Some of the school-level competitions include SGFI, CBSE, Nationals, RFYS. Academy-Level competitions include the AIFF U-13, U-15 and U-18 I-League Delhi Youth League and RSA Cup. Open competitions include Delhi Senior League B Division, A Division and Senior Division.


Q5. ARE THERE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE TO PLAYERS?

Yes, we provide scholarships to some players based on merit and scholarship selection criteria. There are a limited number of scholarships available every year.


Q6. DO YOU ALLOW PLAYERS TO PLAY FOR INDIAN NATIONAL TEAMS?

Yes, we have our players attend trials for national teams.


Q7. HAVE YOU PRODUCED ANY PLAYER WHO HAS PLAYED FOR INDIA?

Yes, two of our players have been selected for the India U16 squad and have represented India in international tournaments. BBFS, in the last 10 years, has also produced 20+ players who have represented the country at various levels.


Q8. WHAT IS THE PROGRAM DURATION?

The RA program is run on a yearly basis. It takes place from April to March in the north, and from June to May in the south.


Q9. What education is provided for players?

BBFS Residential Academy provides CBSE syllabus education with our partner institutions. Students also receive additional support in the form of tutions and extra class if needed.
